WELCOME TO THE IPTI WEBSITE
IPTI is a truly independent professional association for alternative and complementary therapists. Membership of the association is open to practitioners and students of Alternative and Complementary Therapies, Fitness Instructors, Beauty Therapists, Nail Technicians and Hairdressers.
AN ASSOCIATION YOU CAN TRUST
IPTI was founded in 1982 and we have been looking after the needs of our members since that time, the variety of therapists we can accept for membership has evolved over the last 38 years and now exceeds 400 different treatments/therapies.
BENEFITS OF IPTI ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP
The scope for treatments continually widens, higher standards are demanded and responsibilities increase, but the voice of the therapist remains unheard, a victim of divided loyalties.
Increasing technology and the trend towards ancient and oriental therapies, allied to commercial pressures, create problems of control, training and education that only the professional organisations have the resources to meet.
IPTI recognises the importance of a professional associations to bring strength and purpose to the qualified therapist and to provide a sense of belonging to a profession whose importance is being increasingly recognised.
Some of the benefits of being a member of IPTI are:
IPTI members are exempt from Local Authority special treatment licencing, for many therapies, across all London Boroughs apart from Kensington and Chelsea. This can save members up to £400.00.
All IPTI full members receive a membership certificate as proof of membership.
IPTI staff can advise members on issues in regard to the requirements of advertising standards.
IPTI staff can give advice on training schools and acceptable practitioner training across a wide range of therapies, for full practitioner courses and CPD course.
IPTI staff can advise members on the setting up and running of a small business.
IPTI staff can advise members on the requirements for record keeping.
IPTI members have access to the IPTI Malpractice/Professional, Public & Products liability insurance policy. The policy is very comprehensive and can offer cover for a huge range of therapies and treatments.
IPTI members are provided with, and must adhere to, a code of Ethics.
